Watching Light

I choose to take pictures of some houseplants for my watching light project.  It was a perfect day for something like this.  The sun was on and off between 5:15 and 6:45 so the light was sharp and strong at some points and dim at other points of time.  I made the shot closer up shot this time because I thought it gave it more depth and contrast when the light got strong.
This I think was a good exercise to do with photography.  It lets you know what light to look out for when taking photographs and helps you see what light works best.  I found that a sharp light with shadow works for these plants instead of overall light.  It makes the green look nice because there are not a lot of other colors on the plant or in the picture.
